Team #FinishTime travels to Dar es Salaam several times a year provide the results from various high-profile marathons. One of our favourite places to stay when we’re in the area is Protea Hotel Dar es Salaam Courtyard, which offers a comfortable base with a lovely character, a little greenery and plenty of convenient facilities. The hotel’s en-suite rooms are built around a lush green courtyard and boast views of the outdoor swimming pool. Various team members have commented that modern amenities are paired with a setting that feels relaxed and away from the bustle of the city.
While our teams don’t typically get a chance to cool off in the outdoor pool or fit in a workout at the fitness centre, we greatly appreciate other facilities on offer, including WiFi, the on-site all-day dining restaurant and 24-hour room service. We’ve also often thought about what a convenient overnight stop this make for anyone continuing to explore Serengeti National Park or the Ngorongoro Crater.
