Kingfisher Guest House

Staff members from both Cape Town and Durban travelled to Port Elizabeth to provide timing services at the SPAR Women’s Race 2019, and FinishTime booked them into Kingfisher Guest House in Summerstrand.

Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, watching TV in the comfort of your beautifully appointed suite or simply relaxing, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better spot.

The four-star guest house pays five-star attention to detail in our team’s opinion. Every small touch, from the luxurious bedding and chocolate on the pillow to the friendly, welcoming staff and immaculately-kept property, add to a sense of comfort and relaxation. It is immediately apparent that the owners of this guesthouse take their role as hosts seriously and they go out of their way to be friendly and accommodating.

Any review of Kingfisher Guest House would be incomplete without a mention of the scrumptious breakfast.  A made-to-order plate of bacon, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns and the like is brought to your table once you’ve started with tea, coffee, cereals and yoghurt. We suggest you save some space, because the best is saved for last, with the pièce de résistance a mouth-watering flapjack stack, artistically served and, according to at least one race timer, “as light and fluffy as a cloud”.

FinishTime highly recommends Kingfisher Guest House for your next trip to Port Elizabeth. The tranquillity of the surroundings is bettered only by the friendliness of the staff and the luxury of the setting.
