While preparing to time one of the events in the Nissan Trailseeker Series, a team from FinishTime was accommodated at Die Boskombuis en Gastehuis outside Pretoria. Our team found the ambience of this guesthouse to be extremely laid back and relaxing – which is just what one needs before the frenetic pace of race day!
The staff were incredibly friendly, and even with just a one-night stay, our team was made to feel like part of the family.
When one thinks of a bush cabin in a forest, one may be inclined to think of minimally-appointed accommodation miles from anywhere. This is definitely not the case with Die Boskombuis, which is just 15 minutes from Pretoria. While the setting is beautifully rustic, the inside of the bush cabins is extremely comfortable, with everything one might require for an overnight stay. Six bush cabins are available, each with a double bed and one with an additional two single beds to accommodate a small family.
Die Boskombuis also offers a great spot for a wedding or private party. With its beautiful forest setting and the absence of the city hustle and bustle, it’s a perfect spot for a quiet breakaway from everyday life.
