There are many reasons to add a trip to Bela Bela to your bucket list. For starters, you can visit Warmbaths, the Forever Resort that sets the scene for an idyllic family holiday. There are also plenty of exciting races held in the area and the resort’s hot springs are something that every South African should experience at least once.
Another great reason to visit Bela Bela, as Team #FinishTime discovered, is the chance to stay at Hoogland Spa. While our visit was a work trip, our accommodation proved to be a family-friendly idyll that (almost) let us forget that we were in the area to do a job.
The facilities and opportunities for fun at the spa included a game room, kitted out with table tennis, foosball and pool tables. There was also a solar heated pool (with a kiddies’ pool adjacent) and a heated splash pool, giving ample opportunities to relax and enjoy yourself.
While our team didn’t have time to visit the onsite express spa, we have it on good authority from other guests that the array of relaxing massages, facials, body wraps and nail treatments on offer are the perfect opportunity to relax and be pampered.

Hoogland Spa offers one, two and three-bedroomed chalets, making it an ideal stay for everyone from a solo business traveller to Bela Bela to a family going on a much-deserved holiday.
