KZN’s north coast has a well-deserved reputation as being a costal paradise and if you’re looking for somewhere to make the most of the sun-kissed shores, Chakas Rock Chalets 15 in Ballito is the ideal place to do so. While heading up the coast from our Kloof base to time a race, a group of our team members had the chance to stay at Number 15 and reported back that they wished they’d had far more non-work time to explore all the property’s amenities.
While they did get to take advantage of the air conditioning and fully equipped kitchen, they would also have loved to take a swim in the year-round outdoor swimming pool, challenge each other to game of squash and have a braai.
Our team usually stays in hotels or BNBs and it made a fun change on this occasion to have the whole place to themselves. With two comfortable bedrooms (with four beds), private parking and free WiFi, Number 15 was well-equipped with everything our team needed, and the dining room table did a great job of doubling up as a workspace for race timers getting ready for a race and answering queries afterwards.
