It’s not every day that a race timer gets to stay in a castle, but the exception came when our team arrived at Edenvale’s Bastille de Blignaut. The rooms’ mediaeval theme, together with the regal structure of the building as a whole, truly made us feel like royalty. And of course, the fantastic service we received from the staff was the final jewel in the crown.
The royal theme is continued in the naming of Bastille de Blignaut’s rooms, and visitors have the option of staying in King’s Chambers, Queen’s Chambers, Knight’s Rooms, a Garrison or a Hunter’s Room. These spaces cater for everyone, with options ranging from twin rooms with two single beds to spacious family rooms with king-sized beds and a separate single bed.
Breakfast can be included in all bookings, which is always a major advantage for our team when we’re on the move. The rooms also offered a complimentary tea and coffee station to help ensure that everyone started their day the right way.
We asked our team members what their three favourite things about Bastille de Blignaut were. Their answers were:
- The outstanding family-orientated hospitality
- The regal-themed decor and ambience
- The proximity to O R Tambo International Airport and other amenities
We’d like to thank the team from Bastille de Blignaut for their outstanding hospitality. We will definitely be back!
