The nature of Team #FinishTime’s work means that we are regularly travelling the length and breadth of Southern Africa, and moving between our home base in Kloof and races in the Western Cape is common. One of the most delightful spots we’ve found to break up this journey is VillaBell in Senekal. Tucked away on a quiet street and overlooking the nearby golf course, it offers a calm break between long days on the road.
The accommodation is made up of a handful of open-plan, self-catering units, each thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchenettes include essentials like a microwave, fridge and cooking appliances, while en-suite bathrooms and comfortable beds make it easy to settle in after a demanding day’s driving. WiFi, smart TVs and secure parking all add to the convenience.
What stands out most, however, is the relaxed, homely atmosphere. The property features a garden setting with an outdoor pool, braai facilities and seating areas, giving guests space to unwind and reset. There’s also a strong sense of privacy, with each unit offering its own entrance.
The hosts went out of their way to create a welcoming and comfortable experience and our team’s stay here provided a bit of much-needed breathing room between events.
