While in Pretoria to time a race, members of our team got an opportunity to stay at Peter’s Guesthouse , a wonderfully secure and welcoming base in Equestria. Thanks to its location within the gated Peter’s Place complex, it offers 24-hour security and controlled access.
One of the things that made this guesthouse stand out is that it is impressively powered by a fully integrated solar-energy system, which means this is one place you are very unlikely to experience loadshedding!
Each room is well equipped with air conditioning, private bathrooms, digital safes and bar fridges with tea and coffee-making facilities. All rooms have free WiFi, so getting up to date with our pre-race preparation was a breeze.
Highlights of this guesthouse include a lush garden with a lapa, braai facilities and a swimming pool. While we unfortunately didn’t have time to make use of these amenities, it is certainly an idyllic venue for teams or families to unwind and relax.
