Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Team #FinishTime’s adventures often take us out of the country and into various parts of Southern Africa. On one such trip, members of our team found themselves staying at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, which they described as a fantastic place to go if you’re looking for a way to relax and enjoy some wildlife spotting. Located just 27km from Mbabane and 30km from Manzini, it’s an accessible way to experience some of the very best that eSwatini has to offer.

The accommodation at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary consists of the traditional dome-shaped huts that we know as rondawels. There are also bungalows and chalets available, and each unit comes with a shower as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. Our team was able to enjoy a great night’s sleep in preparation for a busy day of race timing!

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary prides itself on true African hospitality.

As is the case with many of the places that our team visits, various staff members found themselves wishing that they could spend more time here to take advantage of some of the great outdoor activities that are available in the area. If you’re a guest at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, you have an abundance of opportunities to go walking, horse riding or mountain biking, and there are also many game drives to be enjoyed. Those looking for a piece of eSwatini to take home can browse the eclectic craft shops in Malkerns and Ezulwini. Mlilwane itself also boasts an outdoor pool, a restaurant and a playground for children to enjoy.
