On a recent trip to Johannesburg to time a race, members of our team had the privilege of staying at Le Chateau Guest House & Conference Centre, which has been given four stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. Over and above the 14 rooms available to accommodate guests, there is a functions and conference centre, meaning that your every need is catered for if you need to host a function in Kempton Park.
We asked our team what the three things they liked most about this guest house were and the answers included the feeling of safety, the spaciousness and comfort of the rooms and being unaffected by loadshedding.
Le Chateau Guest House & Conference Centre is located amid panoramic gardens in the Kempton Park suburb of Terenure and forms part of the enclosed/security area known as the Terenure Residents’ Association. The feeling of quietness, safety and tranquillity starts before you reach Le Chateau’s gate and permeates the entire property.
As well as comfortable queen-sized beds, our team’s rooms offered a small workspace and ample lighting. The bathrooms are spacious and boast both showers and baths. The décor of the guesthouse and the rooms is tasteful and homely, and the hospitality on offer is outstanding. Breakfast was included in our booking and was a welcome start to each day that we spent in Kempton Park.
Perhaps the best news of all is that Le Chateau Guest House & Conference Centre has gone solar and offers full back-up on lights, plugs, geysers and WiFi.
Whether you’re heading to Joburg for a race, a work commitment or to visit family and friends, Le Chateau offers a wonderful place to rest your head.
