Set in the historic heart of Zululand, Garden Court Ulundi offered our team a luxurious place to stay when visiting the area to time a race. It is positioned close to the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park and several important cultural attractions, which made us wish we had more free time during our stay. The hotel combines modern comfort with warm Zulu-inspired hospitality.
The hotel offers 70 standard rooms and two spacious suites, and our team members commented on the fact that the colour palette used was clearly inspired by the surrounding landscapes. Our rooms included practical amenities like uncapped WiFi, air conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities and en-suite bathrooms.
One of the standout features of Garden Court Ulundi is its relaxed outdoor setting. While free time wasn’t a feature of our trip, guests can unwind beside the large swimming pool and garden area, while the hotel’s traditional Zulu-inspired kraal creates a memorable dining experience.
The on-site Garden Grill restaurant took care of our needs during our stay and overall, we found that the friendly service, clean rooms and excellent location would certainly encourage us to visit again.
