On a recent trip to Welkom to time a race, Team #FinishTime got to experience the warmth of Free State hospitality at its best. At Captain’s Cabin Guest House, we found rooms that each had a private entrance, opening directly into the garden and pool area, which was a perfect solution for our team members who needed to relax after a hard day of race timing. Enjoying some downtime under the lapa next to the pool was just what the doctor ordered.
Our team thoroughly enjoyed the fresh continental and English buffet breakfast offered by Captain’s Cabin, and although we didn’t get a chance to have dinner on request, we are quite sure that the home-cooked meals would be just as delectable.
All 26 of Captain’s Cabin’s rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, boasting television and tea and coffee-making facilities. Another big advantage of Captain’s Cabin is that it’s within easy reach of Welkom’s CBD, with its array of restaurants and cinemas, as well as a casino.
With free parking and WiFi rounding off the package, Captain’s Cabin was a fantastic place to stay and our staff members assure us that they would love to go back – whether on FinishTime business or just for some relaxation and rejuvenation.
