Be Still

It’s no secret that members of Team #FinishTime love it when they get an opportunity to go and time a race in Namibia. From the sheer beauty and silence of the desert to quadbiking and camel riding, there’s something for everyone to enjoy once the race has been timed.

On one such trip, our team had the privilege of staying at Be Still Accommodation in Swakopmund, which consists of 12 luxury self-catering units. Be Still is more than a place to stay – it is a retreat centre, which describes itself as a place where one can enjoy peace, serenity and an opportunity to reconnect with oneself and discover what is important about life. Be Still is the perfect antidote to the stresses and strains of everyday life, and our team commented that if they were looking for peace, this is where they would come to find it.

Over and above the comfortably-appointed self-catering units, Be Still offers an indoor swimming pool and sauna, as well as a meditation and yoga studio. The units themselves offer queen-sized beds, fully kitted-out kitchens and a work area, which is always invaluable for our race timers. Some of the units also include a small garden.

The suites are extremely comfortable and offer all the comforts of home.

When you’re looking for some peace and quiet, Be Still is the place to go. With no children under the age of 16 allowed, and a strong focus on tranquility and rejuvenation, you’ll soon be reminded how important it is to occasionally stop and Be Still.
